Testing Methodology
A VidMost test is evidence for the tested setup, not a guarantee for every URL. Results can vary with the application version, operating system, account permissions, region, network, source format, and changes made by the source website.
What a reproducible test records
- Application version, operating system, and test date.
- Whether the source was public, authenticated, live, or on demand.
- Requested and resulting format, resolution, audio, subtitles, and duration where relevant.
- Successful cases, failed cases, error messages, and any fallback used.
- The official source used for every third-party feature or policy claim.
Comparison boundaries
Competitor pages compare documented features and clearly described workflows. We do not infer that a missing marketing claim proves a feature is absent. When a vendor documents a built-in browser, login flow, platform advantage, or limitation, the comparison should state it directly and record the verification date.
Legal and access boundaries
Tests should use content the tester owns or is authorized to access and save. Technical capability does not grant copyright permission or override a platform's terms. We do not treat claims of invisibility, guaranteed bypass, or universal compatibility as valid test conclusions.
